PROCEDURE
- Large pomfret (boneless) - 1 no
- Cumin seeds = 10 gms
- Green chilies - 5 to 6 nos
- Red chili powder - 1 tea spoon
- Ginger garlic paste - 1 tea spoon
- Finely chopped onion - 1 no
- Dhana jeeru ( cumin-coriander powder mix ) - 1 tea spoon
- Garlic cloves - 4 to 5 nos
- Jeera (Cumin seeds ) - 10 gms
- Turmeric powder - 1 tea spoon
- Malt vinegar (Brown vinegar ) - 350 ml
- Jaggery - 100 gms
- Oil
- Salt to taste.
- Finely chopped coriender
PROCEDURE
- Cut the pomfret in 4 pieces
- Mash green chilies, garlic and cumin seeds
- Heat oil in a pan
- Fry the chopped onions till brown
- Add ginger garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric and dhana jeeru powder
- Add the fish pieces
- Pour vinegar till fish pieces are immersed
- Stir lightly
- Cover and simmer till fish is done.
- Add jaggery when fish is almost cooked
- Serve in a bowl
- Garnish it wit finely chopped coriender
NOTE: Serve as a side dish with Dhaan Darr. ( Rice and yellow Daal)
